Whodunit?
DATE: 20 Jan 2012 - 8 Jul 2012
VENUE: Queensland Museum & Sciencentre
Cnr Grey & Melbourne Streets
SOUTH BANK
QLD 4101
The Sciencentre's new exhibition Whodunit?, on from 20 January - 8 July 2012, invites visitors to test their crime-fighting skills using forensic science techniques. Using tools used by real-life investigators, interactive, hands-on activities allow visitors to step into the shoes of a real-life investigator and use crime-solving techniques including fingerprinting and DNA profiling. Those with a strong stomach can try forensic entomology - examining maggots from the victim's corpse to determine the time he died - or join a virtual autopsy to determine cause of death.
Whodunit? is suitable for children aged eight and above. The exhibition includes a simulated crime scene and virtual autopsy and may be disturbing for some visitors. Parents should use their discretion when determining the suitability of this exhibition for their children.
